Factory V8

John Bourke
Shows the underside of the carburettor assembly - shows the gas flowed passages leading to the main manifold - I had the manifold built up with weld so that I could gas flow it to match the main manifold. The factory manifold normally has a daft right angle elbow effect at this point. The cross groove feeding the port to the vacuum gauge is also visible on the manifold mating face. My own design of inter carb linkage is visible in the background.
Two views showing the solution used to replicate the steam vent to the inlet manifold water jacket found on the factory V8s - I did not want the loop of hose spoiling the lines of the top of the engine.
A view of the rear of the engine before fitting the carb assembly-shows the heater connections and small in line heater valve used - hybrid MG V8 pipe to rear of manifold.
