This site is meant to be purely a photographic reference to engine conversions in MGs. Photographs have been supplied by many people who have all taken a different approach to the task. There are no hard and fast rules as to how any conversion should be done but I hope that the pictures on this site will give you an idea of what can be done and how to do it. All sections have a page of thumbnail links to the full sized pictures for quick reference.

With thanks to Bill and Kathy Young I now have the first MG Midget conversion on the site. Therefore I have altered the navigation slightly to divide the site into sections. As I get more conversions (a T16 Magnette and a V8 MGA should be appearing soon) I will further divide the site. I still have a little work to do but all the pictures I have are on the site.

Thanks to Brian Kraus there is now a Mazda 13B rotary engined Midget featured, any more out there I can include?

None of the pages themselves have been moved, nor will they be, so any bookmarks you may have to individual pages will still work.

New on the Site, a Buick V6 powered MGA, all pictures and descriptions kindly supplied by Harrison Manell.

Do you have any pictures or information of any MG engine swap you would allow me to display on this site? If so please email me at: dai@mghorizon.com.

Note - I have not been able to go right through this site and check everything, it is just too big, if anyone comes across any invalid links or missing pictures could they please let me know and I will correct the problem. mkb@lineone.net, thanks.

Any questions you may have that are not covered in this site should be posted on the MGB-GT V-8s and V-8 Conversions section of the MG Enthusiasts' Live BBS Index where many people with experience of V8 conversions will be glad to help.

Special thanks go to: Mike Plumstead, Roger Parker, John Bourke, Curtis Jacobson, Erich Hovley, Robert Pulleyblank, Greg Williams, Jürgen Felske, Dave Lord, Mike Cook, Martyn Harvey, Werner Van Clapdurp, Randy Forbes, Bill Guzman, Nick Smallwood, Bill and Kathy Young, Brian Kraus and Harrison Manell without whom this site would not have been possible.

This site is maintained by Mike Barnes. Any additional photographs or articles you have that could be included in this site would be welcome and should be forwarded to me at mkb@lineone.net

Please note that I am not qualified to answer your questions on V8 Conversions.
