YB 1551 - the last Y chassis ever

The last Y chassis ever, YB 1551 was built up into a racing bodied special for the famous race driver, Dick Jacobs.  The Register last heard of in 2002 when we were told it was to be rebuilt.  We'd love to hear from the owner with more photos and details!  The body was a glass fibre shell over a small tubular steel frame.

Location unknown showing XN 01 in a Sprint "drag" race, clearly much faster off the mark than the Ford!  Look carefully in the background and you can see at least 3 Ys!

The MG Car Company gave Dick Jacobs the last ever YB Chassis, YB 1551, and a special bodied race car was built on the chassis.  Here is a picture of Dick's car being driven round Brands Hatch Raceway on 8 December 1974, the license plate is 982 VWL.  This car is now owned by Stuart Pennfound.
