Pictured here is Rich
Wagner's "Tahiti Blue" 1975 MGB that he bought in 1992. At the time it
was a project car since he and his wife Adrienne had another MGB that
they used for traveling. This car
came with the 6" wide alloy wheels (as pictured) that were too wide for
the rear fender. Replacing the rear end with one from a "wire wheel
parts car" corrected the problem.
The car features a lumbar support in the
seat (yes, the owner is over 50), a removable convertible top and frame
(that can be stowed in the trunk) and cruise control.
Long distance traveling is what the
Wagners enjoy most. Taking only US Highways and scenic parkways, they
have traveled to Maine and Cape Cod, to Asheville, N.C. (twice), down
the entire Skyline Drive and Blue Ridge Parkway and finally the Natchez
Trace Parkway on their return trip from New Orleans.
