The Stafford MG
Enthusiasts Club was formed in August 2001.
This makes it one of the newest MG clubs in the
UK. The
club has been set up by MG car enthusiasts that are not only interested in their
cars but are keen to organise a varied programme
of social and motoring events that are of interest to
the whole family not just car fanatics. Take
a minute to look at the programme of
Meetings
& Events.
The club has
decided to remain independent but it has
affiliated to the MG Owners Club (MGOC).
The MGOC is providing us with much useful
advice and support via Roy Clarke, their Regional
Secretary. The MGOC affiliation will bring the
club extra benefits and some insurance
cover for its car events.
At the AGM in
January the club formally elected its first
Committee
to guide the club through the next
year. Several of the initial steering committee
were elected plus new members from the club,
The club meets each
month on the first Thursday at 8pm (see Club Night
Programme here) at Weston
Hall, Weston.
The staff at Weston Hall have extended a warm welcome
to all club members. They will be providing
us with assistance in organising our club nights,
putting on special value food menus, themed evenings,
quiz nights and summer B-B-Qs.
The club has three
sponsors namely Abingdon MG 4 Parts Birmingham, Friarsgate MG Rover Dealership
Lichfield and Renaissance (MGs) Stafford. The club is actively seeking more
sponsorship so if you or your company are interested to find out
