Cheshire Romp

Following the success of previous runs South Manchester MG Owners Club are pleased to announce details of this years run. For the second year we are starting the event from the Plough & Flail in Mobberley (conveniently located between Knutsford & Wilmslow) the run will take in a route comprising of a tour of leafy lanes and attractive villages in Cheshire as well as the rugged beauty of the Peak districts hills and back roads.

Taking in many places of interest with ample opportunity to stop and admire the sights, stop off at one of the charming old inns for a traditional lunch or there will be numerous chances to stop and enjoy a picnic if you so desire. It has become traditional for the Cheshire Romp to finish at an undisclosed popular attraction...you need to be there on the day to discover its location! The entry fee for this years run remains at £18 per car and includes refreshments at the Plough & Flail (sandwiches available for purchase) rally plaque tulip route book and reduced or free entry to the finishing attraction...book early as spaces are limited.

The Cheshire romp is non profit making with all proceeds going to our nominated charity which this year is

The exact start and finish points will be confirmed, along with full joining instructions, in a letter to be sent out in May or early June. Details of suitable hotels and B&B's will be sent out at this time.

The raffle offering many superb prizes will be drawn here and there will be ample time to chat and make friends with fellow MG enthusiasts.

The first cars will be leaving to start the 80 mile run should be leaving around 9:30.
