X PART SERVICE CENTRE AT TRIDENT

Sadly our local MGR dealer  is no more but they are still servicing MGs and Rovers under the wing of X-Part the main part suppliers. They are an accredited X-Part Service centre and if you can negotiate your way around all the Honda's on the forecourt you'll find a load of MGR vehicles around the back waiting for service - on a recent visit to service my own MGF there were no less than seven others seen in the parking area.

Click HERE for a link to Trident's website

Word of Warning

Whilst we try to keep the website as accurate as possible there are sometimes last minute adjustments to the plans - it's always worth a final check with Club Secretary Tony prior to the event.

1020 GO ON THE INTERNET

We here at Runnymede have had an internet presence for some years now but finally Bournemouth & Poole MGOC have caught up and got their own website up and running - so if you fancy seeing what Nigel hedges and his group  are up to down beside the seaside then just click the picture above.

Another wet day at Basingstoke

The Basingstoke Festival of Transport is usually a pretty good day out for us at Runnymede but has a tendencey to get cancelled if the going gets a bit wet as we found out a couple of years go. Well this year was true to the British weather form and it was ....very wet....but the show didn't cancelled. Thanks to the firm ground under foot it still went ahead despite the thunderstorms. Predicatbly numbers were down and only three Runnymeders vetnrued out with the club plus a couple of others with their Fs were in the adjacent MGF Register paddock so I guess that five 1007ers was not too bad considering the biblical style down pour !

BROOKLANDS CLUB DAY

With Runnymede's close association with Brooklands, several of us are friends and some even volunteers, it's been traditional that we pay a visit to the museum on New Years day. The museum holds an open day for classic cars and clubs and it usually attracts a good number of unusual vehicles including a selection of MGs of course. This year there was a good turn out from US muscle cars to rare Alfa Romeos and even a visit by a real vintage car. Here's a selection of photos from the day.

Thames Valley Hospice Fete

The 2006 fete was a great success again t and we raised several hundred pounds for the Thames Valley Hospice on the Tombola stall. A fine display of MGs attracted the crowds and kept us talking all day ! We'll be there again in 2007  - hope to see you
