Only two snow globes this year !

Time for another Weisbier or two in the old square.

We went to Monaco in 2005, Angouleme in 2006 and for 2007 we headed out to the mountains of Italy and Switzerland to try out the most famous pass of them all  - as featured in "The Italian Job" - The Stelvio.

The Natter itself was held at the Al Filo restaurant  in Bormio on the evening of Saturday 22nd September.

Nine cars grabbed the mettle and took the adventure to the Swiss and Italian Alps. Seven F/TFs, a Subaru and a Caterham 7. The object to drive the Stelvio pass ("the greatest driving road in the world" according to Jeremy Clarkson) and descend into Bormio for the traditional Natter that Matters.

To do this the drivers all planned their own routes and booked their hotels depening on how long they wished to take. Some took a two week trip, some a week and others just a weekend but they all met up to drive the Stelvio.

Some travelled together, some started together but then went different ways, some went on their own - they all weaved their way across Europe to meet in the snow capped Alps and each has their own story to tell either side of this weekend.

The pictures here show the actual natter weekend itself as we drove from Davos to Bormio across the Ofenpass, Fluelapass and the Stelvio itself.

The principle of the Natter that Matters is to hold a Car Club Natter in a strange far away place.

You can get there as you please and  get back how you please but the important thing is to

BE THERE.

Travel with friends or on your own - plan your own routes  - book your own hotels.
