Most of us got away before the storm and the hail stones came crashing down apart from a couple of us who valiantly helped the MGCC take their marquee down and got drenched.

Actually it was pretty good weather all day down at Brooklands in Surrey. Kris Ford and Jay Sheppard brought their cars along to take pride of place on the MGF Register stand whilst around them parked the other 30 plus F/TFs who ventured out to the birthplace of British Motor sport and aviation.

Numbers of other MGs were slightly down on previous years probably thanks to another event going on in the same region - it's always better when these don't clash !.

The MGF fraternity just keeps growing though and we'll soon be pushing those Bs off the top spot !

Three Fs had the honour of being allowed up the Test Hill - Adrian Clifford, Neil Willets and Rod Sawyer all roared up in record time ! In fact Neil even took his other car of the day up the hill - a ZT260 - not sure if he noticed the bump though !.

I blagged a lift in Adrian's Good As Gold as it's front wheels lifted off the ground at the top and we spun into the sharp right hander yards from the top  - I'll get my breakfast later !

We took  the opportunity to officially launch the MGF 10 DVD as well with the help of a wandering jazz band . Adrian cut the ribbon, Tim handled the bubbly and Kris received the first "official" DVD (We'd sneakily sold a few prior to that though !)

Andie arrived fashionably late having missed the motorway junction and Richard arrived even later just before everyone went home ! Seems to be a habit in the South Coast Group !

The Octane photographer grabbed some pics around Jay's Cassie on the stand so keep an eye out on next months MG Enthusiast !

All in all a splendid day out which just shot by . See you next year with an even bigger turn out of F/TFs hopefully !
