"It was a really good test," said Jonny. "The EX257 went very quickly, and our best lap was quicker than the time set by Audi earlier this year. This was achieved on well-worn tyres and with at least two-thirds of a tank of fuel on board.
"Our two days at the circuit was very encouraging. The balance on the car was the best we’ve ever had and I believe we could have gone even faster. We were able to continue with further development work on the car following our successful outing at Estoril, where we were testing engine and tyres. It was good to get lots of miles on the car. The Sebring circuit is very bumpy but the car behaved admirably.
"This level of performance shows again that the MG Lola EX257 is a very quick car and I look forward to developing the programme further."
