Here is a 1973 MGB beautifully restored 4 years ago in Grampian Grey color. The car has 63,000 miles on it. It has never had any rust on it and it also has the overdrive transmission. The head has been rebuilt, ported and polished and skimmed to get the compression up to 9.0 to 1 (work done at CD's Engine). It now has open K&N filters on it (the picture shows the original air filter assembly. All new ignition system, rebuilt carbs, new water pump, brake & clutch hydraulics rebuilt by University Motors. All new interior, new windshield, new wheels, new tires, new top, new canvas top cover, have tonneau cover also. All new hoses, new fuel pump, LE steering wheel. I have the original wheels and the original steering wheel. The car runs, and drive great. It has really good acceleration and the overdrive makes highway travel very nice. This is the last year that the MGB was produced. The Limited Edition was made for distribution in the U.S. with trim options and special rims. 63,500 miles and in good condition with the factory hard top, tonneau cover, and new set of bows for the soft top (no fabric). Included are the original factory hardcover owner's manual, like new, and the original jack and wrench. This is a southern car with a solid body and pans. Everything on the car works and is driven on a regular basis.
Like most MG's still on the road it has had many new parts over the last couple of years, including: Weber DGV carb kit, Carter rotary fuel pump, Kenwood AM/FM CD with speakers, LE steering wheel, tires, water pump, alternator, distributor and coil, motor mounts, brake master cyl., rear wheel cyl., brake hoses, clutch master cyl., carpeting, door panels, fan blades, and many other parts as needed. Also includes an extra 4 speed transmission. Great driver! P.O. did thorough tub-off amateur restoration. Purchased April 2007. New: Gordon Lawson custom wood-rimmed steering wheel on original steering wheel "frame"; three-point seat-belts; recurved distributor from Advance Distributors; all six wheel cylinders resleeved/rebuilt by White Post. Brake shoes and hoses are almost new (front) and brand-new (rear); new wiring harness from British Wiring comes with car.Car runs very well; ' drove it on 260-mile round-trip to Detroit on 9/13/09 with no problems. Came home with a 2nd place trophy from Battle of the Brits - Michigan's largest British car show, with 23 other TDs in class. It has a 4.3
rear end - cruises quietly at 3500 rpm - very close to 60 mph. At 3500 rpm, it holds 50# oil pressure. Only things not working are speedometer and clock. My recorded speeds (above) are from my GPS. If I were to keep this car I would have the shifter remote rebushed as it is noisy.

The restoration makes for a very attractive driver, if not a concours car. There are some subtle mismatches between some of the panels but it's great for a driver. Much of the chrome is new: bumpers, over-riders, headlights, and grill-shell. Side-lamps, tail lamp plinths and windscreen frame are moreover sure to delight you "patina" fans. Interior is all new, as is the hood and half-tonneau. Dashboard is attractive new walnut.

So why am I selling? While my wife also loves the car, she has some spinal disc problems (we're both much older than "TeDdy"). My girl simply can't ride in it, so I can't share it with her - and that's what it's all about.

Given that nicely-restored TDs are now running into the mid-twenties, I'm thinking that my price of $13,900 is a real bargain for this handsome, great-running but less than perfect example. I will listen to offers. Lots of pictures

For Sale - 1980 MGB LE; Original, 21,000 miles, Overdrive
This is a very original low mileage car that spent many years in storage. The previous owner purchased it from an estate in 2001 after the owner died. He put the car on the road with new exhaust, brakes, starter, tires, carb rebuild (original Stromberg), fuel pump, convertible top, carpets and tires. He drove the car a few miles each year until I bought it in 2009 with 20464 miles. I have further improved the car by having all mechanicals gone through professionally; replacing clutch, water pump, engine mounts, brakes, hoses, tune up and adding SU carburetors. All the original carburation items that were replaced are included if desired. The tires have fewer than 1000 miles; the new spare has not been on the ground and it doesn't appear that the original wheel has ever been on the ground. All the electricals work including the clock and the overdrive (which makes the car great to drive, as well as improving the gas mileage). Included with the new convertible top is a matching boot cover, along with the original tonneau, which does have a small repair with matching vinyl material. The paint is original and does have a few small dings. The car has been serviced regularly by the team at Highland Automotive, Highland, NY. They also did the clutch, carburetors and other work for me. The car is in excellent condition and is a real pleasure to drive. Asking $13,000. For Sale - 1969 MGB GT
I have restored numerous MG's and Jaguars many years ago. I have kept this one totally original as it was when I got it except for routine mechanical service. I have had it since 1980. I am the second owner. Original owner was engineer in New Orleans. Never been on salted winter roads but does have the typical rust in the quarter panels and floor panels. Ratty interior and original Pale Primrose paint. Aluminum bonnet. Some of the lights not currently working. Been in storage past 10 years since retired here. Drive it a few miles a year just to keep it loose. Mechanically excellant. Last year for the 8.8:1 high compression 98hp twin SU engine. 155psi on all 4 cylinders. Never rebuilt or modified. Leycock overdrive 6spd transmission. All 4 synchronizers still smooth. No leaks of an kind. New brake and clutch master and slave cylinders years ago and brakes rebuilt. Straight wire wheels. Stainless steel exhaust system. Runs and handles great. $1700.00

Wanted - 1973 MGB-GT in Black Tulip
I am looking for a 1973 or early chrome bumpered '74 GT in Black Tulip (or the later color of Aconite). My long term goal is to restore one to match my original Black Tulip '73 Roadster. I am most concerened with rust issues; ie, the less rust there is the better. Photo's and details are appreciated. I have a rubber bumpered GT (1974.5) that I would consider offering up as trading stock if interested.

Wanted - Looking For My 1973 MGB
I am trying to locate my 1973 MGB that I brought back from England. I sold it in Grand Forks, ND in June 1976. It is a harvest gold color, with the two-speed overdrive (3rd and 4th gear), an after-market custom roll bar, and a color matched custom fiberglass hardtop with a plexiglass sunroof. I would appreciate hearing from anyone that knows of this vehicle.

For Sale - 1974 Blaze Red MGB
I bought this car in 2000 to replace daughter when she got married...only fair she made me get rid of my first MGB (1974 Trundra green MGB) when she was born. I bought the car in Milwaukee and have driven it every summer for 10 years only replace muffler and ignition in 10 years plus general maintence and tune ups. This is a great driver car but it now needs some body work and drivers seat needs replacement. The body work is the usual under doors rust-not bad yet but needs to be taken care of soon.I Love the car but don't have the cash to do it right...nor the skills to do it myself so I thought I would let someone else. This car has Overdrive and 57,000 miles it had 41,000 10 years ago. I can provide more pictures on request. please rescue this car. $2,800 or best offer

1973 GT, in the original (respray several years ago) retro "Limeflower" green with original cloth interior. Excellent condition, I drive it every weekend but it's just too small for me, the wife and daughter. Goodyear radials, new radiator, hoses, plug wires. Nothing else has been required the 4 years I've had it. Must be to a good home, don't know market price but asking $7500.
