The Sportscar Vintage Racing Association (SVRA) announces a "Sebring MGA Reunion", to be held during the "Twelve Hours Of Sebring" at Sebring International Raceway in March 2007. The "Sebring MGA Reunion" will be the first time that all known Sebring MGAs will be invited to the Raceway for display in the "Gallery Of Legends" tent, for participation in demonstration laps, and (pending tech approval) in the SVRA Historic Group races held as part of the Sebring event.

Sebring MGAs will be featured in off-track activities such as the Thursday downtown Sebring festival. There will be many photo-ops, a gallery of Sebring MGA historic photos, and opportunities to meet Sebring owners and drivers, and generally celebrate the marque, the track and the cars. An on-track dinner for Sebring MGA owners and MGA racers is planned.

The SVRA has scheduled Historic Group qualifying on Wednesday March 14, the downtown Sebring festival and Enduro race are on Thursday March 15, sprint races are on Friday March 16, and the Twelve Hour Race is on Saturday March 17. Sebring MGAs will run exhibition laps along with other significant Sebring cars before the Twelve Hour race and between events on previous as the track schedule permits. A bumper crop of MGA racers are expected in the Historic Group events.

This will be a very significant and memorable event. The 55th anniversary of the "Twelve Hours of Sebring" is in 2007, and 2007 will be the 50th anniversary of the oldest Sebring MGA survivor, the BMC dealer-entered car #51 of 1957. Several Sebring MGAs have recently resurfaced or are being restored, and we hope the Reunion will be the first return to Sebring for many of them. It is also hoped that the Reunion will bring some more "lost" Sebring MGAs out of the woodwork.
