Midget Race Car Project
The time has come to part company with my Midget race car. I'm not getting any work done on it, and TBQH with the demise of the FISC series I'm looking for something else to race. So here it is, a great entry-level project with loads of right bits just waiting to be put back together:
Shell: fitted with Safety Devices roll cage. Fibre glass RWA wings, fibre bootlid, fibre one-piece bonnet. You'll need a new seat. Shell requires tidying and spraying into your colour. Hardtop and laminated screen, although I run open. Eliot 0-8k tacho. Plumbed in FIA fire system. 4 point TRS belts. Foam-filled standard tank.
Brakes: Standard discs and drums with cute balance-adjustable twin master cylinder.
Suspension: Uprated lever-arm dampers with Peter May front lever arm triangulation. Poly bushes all round and ally rear spring mounting plates. Panhard rod. This is my umpteenth racing Midget, the best handling I've ever had.
Gearbox: SCCR with hydraulic release mech, only 2 races since rebuild. 7" Caterham clutch. I've never used the SCCR!
Engine: All there just requiring putting together. 1380cc block recently honed & new cam bearings fitted. Powermax pistons with new rings, new ARP big end bolts. Fresh 10/10 ground crank with new bearings & thrusts. 1.5:1 rockers (not roller), Peter May 300 (?) cam. Avonbar BV head. Weber 45 DCOE on long manfold. Requires gasket set, some consumables and assembly.
Wheels: 4 x 5" Minilites plus set strengthened early Rostyle for wets
Car was originally built for FISC, suitable for Swinging Sixties as is, or Class B Midget Championship. Possibly Cockshoot/Peter Best but I don't know the regs.
This car did a full season of FISC in '07 and one race in '08. It's not race-ready, but a lot closer than starting from scratch and a lot cheaper than buying a complete car. Come and see it and make an offer!

MG Midget 1500 restoration

I bought this Midget as a restoration project for my other Midget, mainly for the engine (mine seized) now has spare engine. It is far too good to strip for parts although I know it would make more in parts!
Requires sills and parts of floor repairing. Wings, Bonnet, Boot lid (with stainless luggage rack), doors etc in great condition.
Has uprated adjustable rear Gaz shocks and front springs, nearly new hood and Mota-Lita woodrim wheel and massive history file including original service book etc!

MG Octagon Baseball Shirts
I still have some of the MG octagon "baseball" shirts, just like those sold by British Leyland North America in the late 1970s. They have a red octagon on the chest, blue 3/4 length sleeves and are made of 100% pre-shrunk Anvil-brand cotton shirts. I have sold 150 of these shirts to date.
I had been looking for one of these shirts for a long time and could not find anyone who was interested in making them. So I decided to have them made! I found a supplier, who ran this promotion for BL when the shirts were available from the dealers, and his experience has been invaluable in making a very convincing reproduction. I think you’ll agree. It matches up quite nicely to the vintage one I have at home, for what it's worth.
Right now I have XL and XXL sizes in stock, and one Large. I can get Small and Medium shirts, but it would have to wait until another order is placed, and these would have to be paid in full prior to ordering.
The shirts are $27 by USPS Money Order, $28 by PayPal, which includes packaging and Priority Mail postage to anywhere in the US. For 2 shirts, it will be $50 and $52, respectively. Overseas delivery will be quoted upon request. XXL shirts are $1 more per shirt.

1959 Austin Healey Bugeyed Sprite
This car is a driver and is a fine example of Southern car. Currently has a 1098CC motor and is quite solid and fairly original.I have a complete list of the parts it needs to be 100% stock and several pictures of the car as well. 1963 Austin Healey Sprite
Very Good condition barn find. Driven last in 1984 and then put in storage.
Engine turns over. Very clean, body in very good shape.
Engine turns over freely. Spark plugs removed and cylinders oiled and then plugs put back in when stored.
Disc brakes 1098 motor (I do believe).
Includes soft top, windows, spare and lug wrench as well (not pictured)

Complete Shorrock Sprite Kit
I have a complete set of Shorrock series 2 manifolds, pulleys and mounting bracket. The kit contains all the parts required to mount the c75b to the A series Sprite/Midget. The inlet is the much sort after series 2 design, the one that allows clearance of the centre branch of the exhaust with no modificiations.

Pop off valve manifold series 2

Compressor outlet manifold series 2
Front mounting bracket
3 grooved crankshaft pulley

Turns freely.
Gold paint and an 8G*** engine number would suggest that this was a Goldseal reconditioned unit, although I don't know how many miles it has done since.
