Dragonfly Sprite/Midget

Have you ever seen something similar? It seems that there is a successor to the Arkley, named the Dragonfly. Names as Dan Pratt and Steve Watson and also the Wincanton Engineering of Bentley, Hampshire seem to be involved in the prototyping of this Dragonfly.  I am interested if there are more dragonflies, still driving around somewhere.

Regards, Paul.

The image below March/April 1983 issue of 'Sports Car Mechanics' magazine. Along with the Arkley, a Westfield 'Lotus Eleven' replica and a Spectra one-piece bonnet job, it lists the Dragonfly as a candidate for a Spridget-based kit.

The Dragonfly conversion involved lengthening the chassis by 10.5 inches between the front wheels and bulkhead. This made it costly - over 3 times the cost of the Arkley - but Dragonfly Cars of London Road, Basingstoke, Hants., would do this structural work on the donor car.

Chris,

I currently own a dragonfly which at the moment is in The Channel Islands. I intend bringing it back in the summer. I've attached a picture of it before I registered it over there.
