Spring Break - 2009

The Keswick Country House Hotel, Keswick on Derwentwater.

4 Nights, – Friday May 15th to Monday 18th  Inclusive.

I have chosen the Keswick Country House Hotel in Keswick as the venue for our 2009 Spring Break.

 
Several of our members have stayed in this hotel and all have given me excellent reports.

 
The Hotel is an imposing structure built in the Victorian era as the Station Hotel.

It is set in 4 acres of landscaped gardens and has a secure private car park.

I have negotiated Dinner Bed & Breakfast rates of:- £57.50 per person per night based on 2 sharing. Children under 14 in family room  £15 per night.

 
Keswick is ideally placed to take advantage of all that the Lake District has to offer e.g. walking, fishing ,boating,  lake cruising, pass storming, theatre, motor museum interesting shops, good selection of pubs and eating places etc. etc.

It has the added  advantage that I don’t need to explain where it is or how to pronounce it!

 
The sample table d’hôte  dinner menu included with the Hotel Brochure shows an interesting and varied choice.
