Tuesday 20 May - May is the start of the Summer Season with an Evening Run before the meeting
and despite the rain 6 MG's and their owners gathered on the car park at 7pm.  After 15 minutes
we finally managed to get everyone back in their cars for a run round th'ill, as that is a
fitting start (and end) of the summer season.

Some brave people had their tops down and were rewarded for this by the weathergods with a
rainless hour (we can't count the trees dripping!). On our return to the Sparrow Hawk we were
welcomed by many more members giving a nearly full set for the meeting.

We sorted out some dates and runs in the usual chaos, which can be summarised as follows:
coming weekend 23-25 May: St Bees St Abbs will be attended by 5 B&P cars
1st June: John & Daisy's Run: this is not to be an especially long run, but a "normal" run,
with usual meeting 11.00am at Sparrow Hawk
17th June: Evening run and Club Meeting
3rd August: Ray & Lynne's Run to Classic & Vintage Car Show at RAF Woodvale, near Southport.
Ray will do a route, meeting at 10.00am at Sparrow Hawk

The Pendle Run has 98 entrants to date. There has been a change in the Saturday Night entertainment
as Rockin' Rag Albert are unfortunately unable to make it The Dalesmen have stepped in their clogs
and will provide a "Lancashire Evening". Which sounds like much fun, our apologies to the
people who were looking forward to dancing, but they will just have to bring their clogs (at least it
is better than line dancing!).

For those of you who live in/near Burnley: Enid would like to let you know that she has passed
her driving test. She drives a red Clio! When John asked who is going to do the driving on this
weekend's Run he got a characteristically solicitor-like answer from David; we'll just say she's
not on the insurance yet....

And last, but not least, when John finally got through David's Any Other Business he got to our
own: John and I have decided to sell up and move to France. The yellow peril is already sold
(this should please Neil), but Berta is coming with us. We have started all preparations,
in July we will start looking for a house and all being well we hope to be over before Christmas.
