Tuesday 15 April was our monthly club meeting and eighteen members were present. Two more entries for Bury MGOC's Inaugural Black Pudding Run - so thanks very much again. We now have almost a 100 bookings for the 11th Pendle Run and the entry form has now been removed from the website. The MGOC magazine will also show the run as being fully booked. All is going according to plan and it looks certain to be another very successful event. The next Sunday run on 4 May is being organised by Jim & Christine. They are taking us over the Pennines on a trip to Ripon race course where a classic car show and autojumble are taking place. Info can be found at www.morgansdiary.clara.net The run will commence at the Sparrowhawk an hour early, so make sure you are there for 10am! The May club meeting on Tuesday 20 Maywill see the first of the evening runs. So be there for 7pm and then the meeting will follow. The following month on 1 June, John & Daisy are organising a lengthy run to the North East - some 200 miles or so were mentioned. Therefore the run will commence at the Sparrowhawk an hour early, so make sure you are there for 10am! Once the meeting was closed, various members left and those of us hanging around found ourselves locked in the room. Yes, a lock-in with no bar!! It meant we had to escape down the rear fire-exit, through a dark and overgrown beer garden, over a fence and into the car park. Then it was back through the pub front door and safely to the bar for more beer. Enid found this very romantic, despite her 3 inch heels sinking into the garden! It was certainly more interesting than our usual route down the stairs to the bar. Neil W - 17 Apr 2003
