Jaeger Clock

I have recently (and reluctantly) managed to convert my Jaeger clock to a quartz movement. Boots the chemists have some smallish quartz movement alarm clocks at £4. The movement, when stripped of lights, alarm etc is just small enough to fit into the Jaeger tin clock box with a couple of AAA batteries hidden next to the clock on a trailing lead behind the headlining and the spindle is exact fit through the original clock face (but cut off the second hand spindle).  You could use the original hands, but tricky. I cut, shaped and painted the new hands (you could do it better than me!)- means original can be retrofitted easily. My shaped hands are the only visual change from the orig. Others could do better than me, I am sure!
