Maroon with biscuit interior and with fitted radio went to University
Motors, London, where press launch party was held in the presence of
Thornley, Palmer and other luminaries. This picture taken from Palmer's
Autobiography (see books) which is titled
"...Here am I speaking at the London launch of the Magnette". So
I assume the car in front is #504.

Judy Andreason competing in the Classic Saloon car series of races during the '70s.
Originally painted black, then
painted in the "Cream Cracker" colours of brown and cream. Shown
here in race trim. The original doors without quarterlight had been

Under full nut and bolt restoration by Neil Golding.
This car was in a very poor condition when I collected it from a lock up in
Birmingham. I have brought it down to Devon where it is being striped down
for panel repairs and bare metal repray. I am documenting it's restoration
with photographs and hope to supply it to a classic car magazine, as I would
imagine it would make for a nice feature. It was built between 8th -14th
April 1954 and was despatched 20th April 1954. |

sitting for the past several years in a sheep paddock in the Adelaide hills.
It's a very straight and complete car with rust in all the normal places. By
all accounts this car survived Cyclone Tracy that destroyed the city of

The photo was taken 5 years ago, before I bought it, so it has about five years' more
weat and tear on it now. As you can see, it is still looks very original (apart from the MGB
engine, Nissan five speed gearbox and Wolseley diff centre, but you can't see them). The paintwork is getting close to needing some care
and attention accross the back below the back window. Harry Rickards,Toowoomba,Australia |

far as I know the only non-standard modifications include the wire-spoke

parcel shelf. The car is awaiting retoration. I also have a

Update 2/2009: You may have heard about the bushfires we have had here in
