Z - Magnette Day 2004

in Hamburg/Germany

The last weekend in June has become an important date for some Magnetteers. Year by year they meet at different locations for a small but very social event. No ties for the dinner needed, but a fire for a BBQ.
Again it was a very international gathering with Owners from (beginning in the North:) Sweden, Denmark, England and Germany. Even some German owners travelled from far South up to the North Sea. Well done and hope to see you again!
After the idea of a meeting in France combined with an event in UK had to be canceled, it was Guido Reinking who prompt jumped into the gap!
He organised a great weekend, what started on Saturday morning with a scenic tour around Hamburg  (impressive how large the harbour really is). On the way we had a refreshing stop before the great BBQ started. As the weather cleared up in the afternoon all decided to sit outside. Well this lasted 'till 2 o'clock inthe morning and uncounted beers and many many spoken words...
Nevertheless we were all ready on Sunday morning for a trip into Hamburg to visit a very large model railway, before we all said goodbye to next year and drove into different directions.
