Registration booth - understated but very efficient Some of the Z Magnettes at registration Excited new owners Craig & Karen Terrey stand next to their beautiful ZB [ KAL 23 / 24598 ]. This terrific car was found in Tasmania .

Another view of the Terrey's  ZB in the company of well presented ZA and ZBV
Darryl Purvis [left] & David Overington discuss Magnette details while standing in front of Davids very nice ZB. Darryl is very close to finalising his ZA restoration [ in stunning white] which we should see next GoF. Post registration and general sticky beaking, the Magnette fraternity start setting up for lunch. Afternoon takes in our fun run; A drive around the rural district of Wagga Wagga. Highlight of the drive is arriving at this hall for a very well catered afternoon tea A view away from the hall to show more of the attending MGs

Sunday morning breakfast; another chance to mix and have our MGs marshaled into groups for the peoples choice judging and formal awards. Twelve  ZA/ZBs are in this prominent lineup. [If the quality of cars keeps being added to as displayed our Magnettes will be around for a very long time!] Another view of our lineup. Note the Wagga Wagga club banner in the back ground. This club has done another excellent job in holding the GoF On the way home a splinter group [from Victoria] of Magnettes called into the famous Ettamogah Pub [ just outside Albury NSW]

Back from another very successful Gathering Of The Faithful in Wagga Wagga N.S.W. It is very well organised by Wendy Croker and catered for by the MG Car Club of Wagga Wagga. Many Magnette owners have adopted this event for their annual get-together. This year we had participants from as far north as Deception Bay Qld.(Darryl and Jane Purvis) and south west Portland Vic (David and Marie Hein). Driving to the event on Friday we encountered cold winds and torrential rain, not a good start for picnic lunches etc. but the conditions improved the closer we got to our destination. We arrived at our Motel and were greeted by the Victorians with introductions to the first timers Darryl and Jane Purvis in a non-maque car, David and Marie Hein in a silver ZB, Frank and Maureen Johnson in a burgandy ZA and Craig and Karen Terrey in a Steel blue ZB both fcars from Sydney.
Friday night was the Noggin Natter at the local RSL and a smorgasborg dinner where many important matters relating to Magnettes were discussed.
Saturday morning was registration and sight-seeing with a picnic lunch by the river then the Fun Run through the country to a hall for afternoon tea then back to the Motel to wash cars etc ready for display on Sunday morning.
Saturday night the GOF dinner once again at the RSL for a 3 course sit down meal. There is a new award in memory of Alf Luckman for the people who travelled the greatest distance to attend and was cwon by Darryl and Jane Purnis.
Sunday morning 7.30am BBQ breakfast then judging of the cars on display.
5 ZAs, 5ZBs, 2 Varitones and 1 Mark III lined up in a row is a marvelous sight. Trophies were handed out for 1st Paul Vermont steel blue over mineral blue Varitone Vic, 2nd Terrey Healey dark blue ZB NSW and 3rd John Russell regency red ZA Vic.
I have included pics of these along with the lineup of Magnettes.
Next year we hope to have even more Magnettes in the lineup as people complete restorations and news gets around as to how good this annual event is.
Next GOF 2011 9th, 10th and 11th September!
