Attached is our EMR as put together by Len Dawson, John Russell and Paul

Our State Government is keen to get tourism circulating through the
effected bush fire areas. Today the 19th July our EMR is organised to help
boost some of the recovering bushfire sites. A very useful map [ produced by
Len Dawson] was handed out to guide us on our trip. The day was basically
sunny in the early stages with six Z Magnettes enjoying the day. |
 |
Breakfast was to precede our EMR. Here are the earliest arrivals |
 |
UMN 146, nice silver coloured ZB, transported David and Marie Hein from
distant Portland [ City of Western Victoria ] |

Preparing to cross to the Verandah View Cafe |
 |
Intrigued by the large numbers of attendance plaques on Davids ZB's
dash, David allowed me to take this interior picture. although fundamentally
original some interesting mods can also be identified. Perhaps David will
provide additional background history, to this internet site, on this car
and others of his Z type collection?

Once inside the Verandah View Cafe we could enjoy this outlook |
 |
All have arrive and the chance to swap ideas has commenced |
 |
After breakfast we made two stops [King Lake and Flowerdale - See map]
This is Flowerdale; the childrens play equipment [for the younger members]
and cafe has been destroyed in the fires so our stop was short. John
Russel's red ZA is diverting to find petrol for a friend. |
 |
On destination of Yea [ See map] allowed us to park in its generous
central boulevard. The trip had taken us on great roads for our MG's and
passed through deceptive displays of black tree trunks [festooned with green
leaves] and bare or grassy undergrowth. A great day for us to catchup and
use our Zed's {or what ever was driven} |
