Z Magnette Day 2007
Another
year - another Magnette Day. The 11th edition was organised by Sonia and Yves
Rommes at their
home in
Luxembourg. The garden became a campsite and BBQ place and the truly large
and comfortable garage was converted to a breakfast room. This event reflected
the familar atmospere of the previous years. In fact this year was very familar
with the youngest participants just being 2 months old! The others two dozens
participants were of all ages. But this was no barrier same as the regional
provenenence from different European countries.
The event itsself began very relaxed (after most people had managed the
Friday afternoon traffic around Luxembourg city) with beer, wine and even some
guitar playing. As always the night was too short and coffee in the morning
absolutely neccessary! Sonia and Yves sent us off for a relaxed rally which
lasted until afternoon. Then the bonfire was lightened and we sat outside with
the same delicious trinks (well we had something to eat as well). While talking
about tech stuff and other things time ran by and it again was past midnight
before we crawled in our tents (or hotel beds).
On sunday we visited a schist mine before we grilled what was left from the
day before. Unfortunalety it was time to say goodbye in the early afternoon to
do the 200+ miles trip back home.
