The Federation of British Historic Vehicles

The Federation of British Historic Vehicles is a grouping of almost 500 Clubs and Museums together with some 1500 Trade and Individual Supporters. The aim of the Federation is to uphold the freedom to use old vehicles on the roads without any undue restriction and to support its member organisations in whatever way it can.

D G Models

Autocraft produce a range of vehicles, initially created in the mid 1970s and produced intermittently over the years in very small quantities. Fashioned in the style of Dinky, the D. G. Models range consists of those specific marques not produced by Meccano, being aimed primarily to complement the collections of Dinky enthusiasts. We are a very small company and every model we produce is created by skilled craftsmen within our own workshops resulting in a moderate output of any item. Over the years D. G. Models have acquired an enthusiastic following in their own right.  Each of these pewter models is cast from our original 1970 moulds, hand assembled and individually finished.  Specifically, we have an MG Y Saloon and an MG YT (hood up) in the range. 1/43 scale.

Rosco's Models

N Gauge (1 inch) bare pewter models with separate radiator, headlamp and front bumper assembly in brass. Like many components on classic cars, the water pumps were designed to cost and to achieve minimum requirements that met the needs of the vehicles and road conditions at the time. Today, when the motoring conditions are much more demanding, with modern traffic congestion and high specification fuels and oils, some of the marginal components are struggling to meet the current driving demands particularly if the engine has been up-rated in other ways.

Our range of water pumps are direct replacements for the existing pumps but with redesigned impellers to give higher volumes of flow. This improved flow and increased water pressure ensures that all parts of the cooling system receive adequate distribution of water.

Available in March 2009 is the redesigned pump for the MG TB to TF range of cars with the XPAG engine. This pump gives approximately twice the volume and pressure of the original pump and with the redesigned internals and aluminium impeller is very reliable.

The car shown is Geoff Holt (driver) and Stan Astbury (navigator) in HMO 910 (Sergeant) on the RAC Rally of Great Britain, 1953.  Also in the Works Team were Reg Holt with Alan Collinson navigating in HMO 908 (Lance Corporal) – presumably in car number 165, and Len Shaw (driving) and Freddie Finnemore (navigating) in HMO 909 (Corporal) – in car number 164.  The picture is probably in Wyrnos Pass, Cumbria.  Copies of this picture can be purchased through Stilltime's SSL site.
