Congratulations to the Centre's sprinters and
hillclimbers, who have been outstandingly successful in 2008. In
particular, to Philip Bayne-Powell for winning the Triple-M
Register Speed Championship outright in his C-type, and Jim
Withers, with his Midget, who took the overall win in the
Southern Luffield MGCC Speed Championship.
Several other members took championship awards, making it our
most successful year for some time.

- Race Car Live Exhibition
- Brands Hatch 22nd-23rd November
This exhibition, aimed at competitors, is one which every budding Lewis Hamilton
should attend.
The M.G. Car Club will
have four cars there and apparently it will be possible to be
taken round the track if you are the holder of an MSA
competition licence. Full details can be found on

- We are grateful to Blackpalfrey Motor Club for
again inviting us to enter their series of '12 car' rallies this
season. These
unique Sunday morning Regularity Rallies combine gentle
competition with a sociable outing. Events usually include two
or three timed-to-the-second regularity sections typical of a
historic road rally, over a route of around 70 miles. From a
10am start, we are usually enjoying a pleasant pub lunch (often
a Sunday roast) by 2pm.
Ideal for those of you who enjoy our own Naviscats.
