On 22nd August fifty MGs and their owners descended on Green Quay, King's Lynn, for the start of the 30th Anniversary Tour.
John Collier kindly provided the photographs shown below.
The first part of the Tour was a Guided Walk around King's Lynn learning about the history of the medieval town.
On our return to Green Quay, the Mayor of King's Lynn arrived to 'flag' us off on the Social Drive to the Lazy Otter, near Ely, for our Barbeque Lunch . . .
The MGs lined up and filled the carpark making quite a spectacle for members and visitors alike. The Self-Judged Concours was very difficult as there were so many lovely cars from every decade from 1930s to 2010!
It was then time to go on the Scenic Tour to Denver Mill, where we were able to sample delicious homemade cakes and speciality teas. There was also an opportunity to climb up the mill with a special guide showing all aspects of it's working life.
Everyone agreed it had been a fantastic day and a wonderful way to celebrate our 30th Anniversary. |
