Once again we are proud to announce the date and location of the Original British Car Day 2008, an event that has been consecutively run for over 30 years. The Chesapeake Chapter of the New England MG “T“ Register, founder of The Original British Car Day, is looking forward to another terrific day as we gather with the membership of all British Car Clubs in one setting. The event will again be held at the beautiful grounds of Lilypons Water Gardens. They are located in Adamstown, Maryland and can be accessed easily from the North I-70 or I-270 via route 85, or from the

On Friday volunteer at the vintage race as a corner and safety worker and get a close up view of the action and great cars. Don’t forget the lunch and thank you laps for the volunteers. June 21  Middle Island Caring for Kids (MICK) is a not for profit childcare facility that has been serving the Middle Island community for the past eighteen years. They will be having their annual fund raiser, which is the Polo match and Lawn Party.  Fund Raiser event at the Caumsett State Park, Lloyds Neck,. Tickets are $60 and for this you will receive a meal and can watch a polo match. July  – Brooklyn Cyclones Classic Car Show – 3:30-5:30 – Game to follow - Keyspan Park at Coney Island. Limited to 150 cars. $20 for show, parking and includes 1 bleacher admission, $25 for admission and a box seat. $6 and $10 for additional game seats. July  13 - Pool Party-MGCC-LIC- Our wonderful event at Mrs. Storrs beautiful home and pool setting. Our usual great barbeque and plenty of laughs. It’s a great way to meet other people that love little British cars and join in the fun. We’ll start with the social gathering at 10:30 at our usual meeting spot at the Cold Springs Harbor train station. We will then head off to do one of Tim’s scenic runs through the hilly winding roads of the north shore until we arrive at the destination. We are always grateful to Mrs. Storr and her wonderful hospitality. If you haven’t been to one yet, you don’t want to miss it. There will be plenty of food for all, snacks, burgers, dogs, salads, watermelon and of course, dessert. Please call me at 631-486-2981 to reserve your spot. The event is limited to 60 people.  Members $7 per person and under 12 years old free, non member guests $13, ages 10-18- $10, 4-9 $7, under 4 free.

    29th Annual MGs On the Rocks Car Show & Parts Market Hundreds of MG and other British Car owners and enthusiasts from across Maryland and the Mid-Atlantic region will gather on Saturday, September 27, 2008 for this one day event. The event will be held at ROCKS STATE PARK - 4-H CAMP, the field opens at 9:00 am. Awards will be presented at 3:30 pm to the top 3 cars in each class. The show is open to all British cars . Dash plaques will be given to all pre-registered cars entered in the event. Food and drinks will be available, as will be new & used parts, collectibles, and Club Regalia. The show fee is $20.00 per entry. Spectator admission is $2.00, children under 12 are free. Rocks State Park is 13 miles from I-95 (exit 77A) via Md.
