Spridget unused Moss recon gearbox
Rib case gearbox from Moss, unused from new. This is for a 1098cc model but would fit 1275cc although the ratios are slightly different. It does not have the remote (that's how Moss sell them), so you will need to use your own. This would cost you £550 +VAT new now, but only £250 ono. Pick up from Devon, Chippenham, Newbury or Woodbridge, Suffolk (don't ask, it's a long story..) or can crate up and ship at your cost.

Midget bits
I have the following bits to sell. Postage can be arranged on all but rear axle (however I could post the bare case.
Matched pair of front suspension units. Good condition. Complete units including discs, calipers, wishbone pans, kingpins, uprights, shocks. Also have a lowering block set fitted. These can be removed if wanted (I'll use them on my car). £30 the pair plus £20 post.
Rear axle. Good condition. If collected will be complete. If posted will be bare case (other parts could be posted seperately. £30 plus post at £10/20.
1500 springs. Came off a complete car that wasn't sagging so assume to be good. £20 for all 4. Postage will be £10.
1500 front A/R Bar. Good upgrade for 1275 or earlier? £10+post.
Late model dual circuit master cylinder. Used for racing or fast road use, if you lose one brake line you still keep either front or rear brakes enabling you to stop. Comes in a pedal box literally ready to drop in. No major changes needed to brake lines either. £25 plus post.
Various trim bits and wiper motors/instruments etc. No panels left. Plenty of hoods on frames, all the hoods want renewing though (unless it is just a daily driver and you don't want it perfect.
Plenty of front and rear lights, some rubber bumpers, couple of windscreens in frames, if your doing a restoration give me a bell.

Breaking 1970 and 1967 MG Midgets
I am in the process of breaking two MG Midgets. One is a Mark II 1967(we think), and the other is a 1970 Mark III. Both bodies are gone but all the hang ons are in fair to good shape. The Mark III is a wire wheel car, and the Mark II is disk wheel. Mark II engine is sold, but 1970 engine is out of car. I can rebuild the engine and transmissions if interested along with the front ends. The doors, boot lids, and glass are all in good condition.

Rib-Case Rebuild Transmissions
I have three rebuild transmissions for sale. The first transmission has all new seals, bearings, lay gear and shaft, thrust washers, synchronizers, and front cover with seal. All gears, shafts, etc. in excellent condition. Price $495.00 plus shipping. The second transmission has all new seals, bearings and front cover. All gears are used but in good condition. 1972 MG MIDGET COMPETITION CAR
I have available a tax exempt 1972 round arch MG Midget which has been used as a sprint & hillclimb car in recent years. Also suitable for racing or historic rallies.
The engine is a lightened & balanced 1275cc fitted with twin 11/2” SUs, big valve Cooper S head, electronic ignition, mild cam, 3 branch manifold with sports exhaust. Good oil pressure & no smoke or strange noises.
Gearbox & transmission are standard. Gearbox is quiet in all gears. Standard wheels & tyres fitted at the moment.
Car is lowered 1” & fitted with Spax adjustable shocks on rear & uprated lever arms on front. Has negative camber trunions & heavy anti roll bar.
A roll over bar is fitted & a fireproof firewall between the boot & cockpit
Bodyshell is completely rust free. No interior panels or carpets are fitted but can be supplied. Laminated windscreen with small crack in one corner. Seats are standard & a drivers harness is fitted. External ignition cut out fitted – but not wired up! Painted in British Racing Green with white roundels. Paint not the best but easily improved!
Comes with 12m MOT. Hardtop also included.

1972 MG MIDGET for RESTORATION---SOLD!
I have available an August 1972 registered (so tax free) MG Midget. This is the most desirable model with the 1275cc engine, chrome bumpers & round arches.
The car was supplied to its last owner in September 1999 by a well-known MG/ Classic Car dealer for a price of £4255. At that time the car was resprayed in British Racing Green & the seats & interior panels were retrimmed in cream leather (not vinyl)with green piping. A small steering wheel & Lucas spotlights were also fitted. A year later the gearbox developed a fault & the car was taken off the road. The gearbox was rebuilt & the opportunity taken to carry out repairs to the passenger footwell. This was never completed & the engine & box remain unfitted.
The body condition is as follows;
The bonnet & boot lid are both good with no corrosion.
Both doors, A& B posts are good.
All arches are good as are the tops of the rear wings.
One rear wing will require a repair section.
Both front wings, inner & outer are good.
Floors & spring hangers are all good except for the near side floor well.
One sill requires a repair section.
All chrome is good & will clean up.
The leather interior remains in very good condition
The hood is a double duck type. Requires fixing to the front bar.
The car comes with old MOTs confirming the mileage at around 76k. A Haynes manual & tonneau cover are included.

Ford Powered Midget
I am selling my Midget to fund my new project. It started life as a 1500 but now has a 1690cc ford x-flow engine and 5-speed gearbox. The engine was built 3 years ago with new everything pistons, water/oil pumps, piper 275 cam and followers, unleaded head you name it, it`s done. The body is in red and has a f/glass front and f/glass rear wings that are RWA, also 3inch arches have been shaped onto the body to cover 175/70/13 wheels 13x6. The suspension is spax telescopics on the rear, uprated lever arms on the front and a thicker roll bar, the springs are from Peter May back and front. The interior is black with MX5 seats and harness belts. The body was fully rebuilt with new cills, floors, inner wings etc and fully wax oiled and seam sealed and only used in the dry in summer so no nasty hidden rust anywhere. I have pics of the work for proof. It has a fitted boot rack, the roof is good and I have the cover for it when it`s down. The car although would not win a concourse prize is in lovely condition as only restored 5 years ago. £2650 MOT till JULY 09. I can e-mail as many pics as you want.
