The Arden MG Club was founded in September 1989 when a group of six MG enthusiasts met for the first time at the Golden Cross, Ardens Grafton, near Stratford-upon-Avon.
Since then, the Club has met every first Tuesday of the month and the membership has grown to some 100 members. The meetings are informal, along the lines of a ”Noggin and Natter.” There is no membership fee and the funds to cover the running costs are raised by a monthly raffle. The Club is affiliated to the MG Car Club Midland Centre and the MG Owners Club. Owners of pre 1956 cars, the Arden Octagon Group, meet on the last Tuesday of every month at the Blue Boar, Temple Grafton. 1993 saw the first Arden MG Club Heritage Run. It was the first Classic Car Run to visit the Heritage Motor Museum taking place the day after it was officially opened. 200 MG Cars left Stratford-upon-Avon, traveling through the lanes of Warwickshire on a journey of about 60 miles before arriving at the museum. Because of the success of the first Heritage Run, it has become an annual event with entries coming from all parts of the country. The number of cars participating range from 150 to 200 each year.

Contact: Gerald Manterfield <Info@chesterfield-mg-group.co.uk>
The club continued to grow and we now have a thriving membership, which meet on the first Wednesday in the month at Gosforth Fields Sports Club S18 8NP. Club night normally starts at 8.00pm but may vary depending on the event; we have a varied list of events organised by an enthusiastic committee and club members. In addition to club nights we also run other events, from days out to weekends away.
Information on all events and news items are published around the beginning of each month in our monthly newsletter the 'Spyer Flyer' which is sent to all members by email.
For forthcoming events please see the Club's Events page, also please feel free to browse our pictures of past events on our gallery.
If you live in the Chesterfield area (although some members do come from much further afield), own an MG or other marque, and fancy a friendly chat, entertainment and food then why not come along to one of our meetings on the first Wednesday of every month? So don't be shy give us a try!

Annual Events:
April - Shakedown Run starts off the season with a tulip run on a Sunday and is usually 70-90 miles through the Peak District. Each year different locations in the Chesterfield area are selected for the start and finish.
July - Marcham Road Run is a run of about 70-90 miles on a Sunday and is an 'open' event which usually attracts in excess of 70 cars. All proceeds are donated to a charity. We start in Chesterfield and finish at a local venue where the run prizes are awarded. It is called the 'Marcham Road Run' after the original factory in Abingdon where MG cars were made.
September - Goodnight Sweetheart Run is the close of the season run with a similar format to the Shakedown.
October - Dinner & Dance is a more formal evening with a variety of entertainment. Overnight accommodation is usually available at the venue.
December - Christmas Weekend Away is a Friday to Sunday function at various locations throughout the country but often in the Lake District. Saturday night is a special dinner (formal dress) with entertainment.

Membership runs from 1 February to 31 January with the AGM being held on the January club night.
We hope that you will be able to join us on club nights and participate in some of the other events.

Meetings Held At: Standard Triumph Social Club, Tile Hill Lane, Canley, Coventry. CV4 9DG 3rd Thursday monthly at 8.00pm. (Please telephone to confirm meeting venue as there are about four occasions during the year when we move to other venues for specific events).
The club was formed some twenty one years ago by about a dozen enthusiasts, many of whom are still members. Since then the club has grown steadily to a membership of some forty (membership being couples or individuals) which means that we have over sixty people and forty five cars ranging from MGA to MGTF, Z series via B's and C's.
As a club our philosophy is "Enjoy using your MG" although there are plenty in the club with technical and mechanical expertise should advice be needed. Our main interests are social activities involving the use of our cars as often as possible. However in winter months we tend towards pub games, quizzes, skittles and so on rather than venture out in the cold and wet, though some members do use their cars as daily drivers.
Our programme for the year is set at the AGM in January and apart from the usual monthly meetings we list about twenty events in which we hope to participate and others are added as the year progresses. Events vary from Classic Car Shows, weekends away at various club runs, a Treasure Hunt, exploration of the local countryside by car and on foot, our annual holiday to France and other occasional trips abroad to European events. No one goes to everything, but there is a good selection to choose from and other members to go with.
During the summer months a 'Pub Run' is organised for the first Thursday in the month and we drive a reasonable distance to a variety of interesting hostelries, usually situated in scenic locations, for a pub meal.
We pride ourselves on being a friendly club and make all visitors welcome. If you live in the Coventry and Warwick area why not drop in to see us some time.

The Norwich Burblers
Based in Norwich, Norfolk.
Contact: Stuart Middlemiss stuart(at)lsak.fsnet.co.uk
The Norwich Burblers - www.burblers.com - have a regular monthly get-together for all MGs and other marques at the Bird in Hand freehouse, at Wreningham on the B1113 Mulbarton Road just south of Norwich, on the corner of Church Road. The postcode is NR16 1BH and telephone 01508 489 438. Make a table booking if you'd like to eat beforehand.
The Norwich Burblers started out in 2006, just as an informal group of mostly RV8 owners around Norwich, very involved in the MGCC V8 Register. We now have Burblers all over the country, with various MG types (RV8/GTV8/V8 conversions/MGC/MGB/MGF and TF) and other marques, and would dearly like more to join us, especially older MGs.
We are registered as an MGCC Natter, but this isn't the type of Natter (or MGOC group) where cliques sit in the corner, unwelcoming to newcomers, as some - but not all - are. We're the friendliest of guys! Honest!
Anyway, come along and see ... we look forward to meeting you!

The Oxfordshire MG Owners' Club meets on the first Wednesday of each month at the Lamb and Flag, Longworth, near Abingdon, Oxfordshire, OX13 5HN.

The Club meetings start at 7.30pm.

The monthly meeting is a chance to catch up with friends and to find out about events in the next month or so.
It is very much a social occasion with equally as many women as men attending. We are certainly quite happy to talk about MGs but don't sit all night discussing widgets, etc.

For directions and more information, see the club website www.oxfordshiremgoc.co.uk
For more information about the pub go to www.lambandflagthai.com.

A warm welcome awaits you at the South Leicester M. G. Club.
Our club is a friendly one, founded to encourage the enjoyment and excitement of MG motoring, many of our members have cars in various states of repair, some are concours winners, some are everyday cars and some are a big pile of bits that one day might take to the road again!
We have an active social calendar, usually with our cars in the summertime, but in the winter we still meet and enjoy skittles, quiz nights, talks, bowling and lots of other activities. What we don't do is spend a lot of time talking about cars - they're for driving!
You don't have to be a member of a National Club to meet with us, we are here to encourage owners of MG's in Leicestershire to meet and "ENJOY THE MAGIC OF THE MARQUE" we are affilated to the MGOC, MGCC and The Octagon Club.
Why not come along to one of our meetings! - There at The Olde Cock Inn, St Peters Road, Arnesby, Leicestershire - just of the Old A50 (A5199) about 5 miles south of Wigston on the first Tuesday of each month from 8pm onwards. Happy MG'ing
