Busy month for me, what with two seperate MG race meetings recently, Snetterton and Mallory Park along with few problems with my normally 'ultra reliable' MG Maestro (the cluth had to be replaced!) Now I have a leaky heater inside the car, which is all I need just before the onset of winter!
Which reminds me, you should be thinking about anti-freeze around about now.
'Too early'! I hear you cry! Winter is in fact just around the corner, (Christmas goods are already on sale!!) so please do not leave it until it is too late, get topped up with some fresh antifreeze this weekend!
Our readers on WWW , who may be in a warmer climate, can ingnore the above, though anti-freeze, it is said, can assist with cooling! While I am on the subject of the World Wide Web, the Cambridge & District MG web page now get over 500 visistors a week. I would like to thank Mike Plumstead for his continued support, it would prove difficult to continue without his help. If you are an organising member of a local MG group, then I would urge you to consider the use of the WWW to promote to your club.
If you are a first time visitor to these pages, then please browse through the other pages, I would welcome comments and contributions...Thankyou!
It is also the time of year that I start to look for car insurance, this year I shall be seeing what the MGOC Insurance Scheme has to offer!

The MGB Roadster pictured below, I spotted while at the recently at the Mallory Race Circuit . It has been completely restored, making use of a new 'Heritage' bodyshell.

Click on the smaller images below to reveal the rest of this splendid restoration.

Time goes so quickly these days that I forgot all about the September write up for the 'newsletter' and for the MGOC club magazine 'Enjoying MG', completely.
It must have been the thoughts of my holiday touring France in my '65 roadster', along with some other Cambs & District members.
Well eight of us had a wonderful time, not having too many problems on the 2500 mile round trip (any one know what the french is for 'top hose'?) send your answers on a postcard to.....
We stayed in the Bergerac area of France, taking our MG's down narrow streets, the exhaust note bouncing of the walls and echoing around the small towns and villages. One such place was Eyemet, as we arrived in the town square the locals came out to meet us, who then took great delight at looking over the cars.
Thanks to fellow MG owners from Bristol for the use of their farmhouse, I can recommend it very highly to other club members ( Tel 01275 847396 evenings).

Despite the holidays the club has remained active, an evening out on the River Cam went very well, thanks to Linda Revell for organising that one.

Surrey 97 back in July was another success story. We had one of the biggest attendances to date, but due to the long road run we missed the 'Inter Club Games' and the chance to win back 'that' trophy........Wait until next year!!!

Congratulations must to Matthew and Nicola Payton, Nicola had her first child just two weeks after the Surrey event.

Editors Question!
"Brian, was it chrome or rubber bumber......oops! I mean was it a boy or a girl?"

Our club night on the 1st of September was well attended with another three new members joining the ranks of the Cambridge and District MGOC, which now must be the fastest growing MG club in the East of England region!

Make sure you have your name down for the Christmas Dinner, deposits will required shortly!......There are just Fifty places this year, so 'BOOK EARLY' to avoid disappointment!

Dates..
Oct 6.....Natter Night
Oct 20....Colourcare Newmarket (inc Buffet)....A behind the scenes look at a photo processing lab!
Oct 27....Committee members meeting
Nov 3.....Natter Night
Nov 17....TBA
