A Revue of July
Some of the 18 cars which turned up
The first meeting of the month was our Drivers exchange held at the Black Horse in Dry Drayton, the weather was excellent, and the pub most welcoming to us, which was fortunate, since we had a large turn out of eighteen cars, and one Honda Gold Wing, on which Robin was taking the not so faint harted out for a spin on.

Monday the 19th July was the day of Ron & June's alternative pub run, they had worked out a route using mainly twisty B roads (we like twisty bits!) with a final destination of a pub in the village of Waresley, and for good measure they decided to enliven the run with an observational test using some straightforward clues and some cryptic ones with a bottle of wine to the winner.
August Revue August is the month of BBQ's and to celebrate this Chris & Pat kicked the first meeting of the month off with a Monday evening run too there home in Grafam for an evening BBQ in the garden, where Chris & Pat prepared all the salads and bread rolls, and we bought our own meat/fish to be cooked by Chris, and it has to be said that Chris is a master on the old BBQ, since it did not matter what we throw at him to cook, he did it to perfection.
Master Chef, Chris at home on the BBQ. The second meeting of the month was switched from the Monday evening to the Sunday for Jacqui & Johns excellent summer drive through the country, starting from the Green Man and ending up at there home for a relaxed drink and afternoon BBQ which is always a great success, and a little mention I think should go to the God of rain for holding off on both events. |
