Rays Roundup Webmaster Gets New MG! MG Stamps

Ray's Roundup

We are now settled in our new our meeting place, The Green Man, Shepreth, our previous meeting place proved to be too small for our club ( Its nice to be able to say that) It must be due to the number of new members that we are attracting, keep coming the more the merrier.

Our new venue not only provides us with a large private room but a spacious car park & huge garden, so we can have more activities there if we wish. Having been to this Public house on a few occasions I have met a number of other classic car owners who live in the vicinity, and have shown an interest in seeing what "MG owners" get up to, so lets show these other clubs what "Simply the Best" is all about.

Recent Meetings
Our pub quiz on March 1st was enjoyed by all, even if the spelling of 'Berjerac' caused some head scratching and those who wrote 'Frost' were penalised. Thanks to Joyce and Robin.

At our meeting on the 13th March we were given an insight into MG Racing by our chairman & racing driver Brian Fish, aided and abetted by Piers Townsend, a fellow competitor who lives locally, but who is not actually a member of our club (yet!!)
We were treated to an insiders view of what you need to do to make the MG acceptable for racing and the requirements you need to Win, also a few tips on staying on the circuit during a race. We thoroughly enjoyed the talk and eagerly await to see the Trophies sometime in the future. The is a report of the seasons first race Here! Can you see the name of Brian Fish?
