Hello from Cambridge
Not too much to report this month, sorry, but here goes : I have today seen the Press release issued by MG Rover (30th Jan) concerning the 3 new MG Saloons; the first one will be named MG X10 and is a sporty executive car. The other three are only known by their code names being the x20, and x30. We will also see MG Rover at Le Mans & Races during the 2001 season. I have had a few calls from people dying to become MG owners, and some who have become owners, so the more MG,s that get on to the market place the better.

Our New years day run started from our home pub to the Vintage Car Club who meet at Barrington, where we saw some super examples of veteran and classic cars, the weather being particularly wet meant that the usual gathering on the village green had to be cancelled so there were not so many cars there as in previous years. So the cars were packed tightly into the Pub car park and surrounding roads by the green. After spending some time boggling at these auto's we then made tracks past ridges of ice in the centre of some roads which made a horrible noise if you took the wrong line, for our destination The Red House at Longstowe where we tucked into sandwiches etc.
On our second club night in January we had a pictorial quiz albeit a bit late on 'Christmas Carols' and that shook out the cobwebs! The winners were suitably rewarded.
