Montego's, Metro's and Maestro's

A much neglected section of the image gallery, which is to have a major revamp! I have removed many of the old images, to make way for some new ones. I have added a few of the new pictures I have, and will be adding a few more soon.

MG Metro Replica This is my 1.0 Metro. I got the car in June along with a MG metro of the same age. The 1.0 was in far better condition although it was really no frills motoring!! I intended to make a MG replica. It has a MG interior, Gta Wheels MG rear spoiler, MG rocker cover but this covers the 1.0 engine for insurance reasons. Who'd be 17 again????(!) I live in Edinburgh and I am 17 I sat my test on the 18th of October in the car and only got 2 minor faults..

MG Metro I wonder if I could humbly submit a picture of my 1987 MG Metro Turbo for possible inclusion. Alas in my youthful ignorance, it was sold after a couple of years for a Golf GTI but as a much older and wiser man, I have now returned to the fold with a MGF VVC. My purchase of which was partially prompted by my fond memories of my 1986 MG Metro and then the car featured in the photo! Pictured at Ards peninsula, Co.Down. Taken on an Olympus OM10 with graduated filter (very 1980s!) This was my second MG metro, the first was a standard MG metro, light metallic blue, GXI 5220. Both cars were a delight to drive and mechanically, never had any trouble with either! Dr John Purvis
