![]() | The blue and white 1622cc, Farina MG Magnette Mk4, built in 1964 has been mine since 1991. It has covered 157,000 miles, with a full engine,
gearbox and brakes rebuild at 135,000. It has appeared in MG magazines
all over the world, often accompanying articles I write. Never intended
as a sportscar by BMC, it is never the less a quite nippy saloon, but
not recognised as such because of the poor performance and handling of
the 1489cc Mk3.
