MG Owners Club Racing Championship 2000

Class A Race It was Peter St Barbe who took the honours this weekend in the Class A race. St Barbe took charge of the race on the very first corner, getting a lightning start ahead of Darryl Davis. Davis was then unable to push his MGF past St Barbe, he also had the MG Midget of Julie Clark right behind him, applying plenty of pressure. Julie Clark was relegated to fourth place after Gary Smith snatched some valuble points from her on the last lap. Julie Clark still has a lead of 18 points at the top of the class table. There are now just four races left at: Cadwell Park, Oulton Park, Brands Hatch, and Snetterton Class B Race There was drama in the early stages of the Class B race. Someone likened it to a wall of death as too many cars tried to get up and around the same bend. Simon Kendrick ended up the bank and rolled his car, the race was immediatley red flagged! After the restart it was Andy Campbell who led the race for 10 of the 12 laps, when the lead was taken by Nick Golhar as they went around 'Devils Elbow'. This is Golhars second win this season the first being earlier in the year at Pembrey Please Note: linked images are library photographs
