The Metro of Andy Scothern led the race from the start, Tony Howes made several attempts to snatch the lead , but despite his determined efforts he was unable to get past Scothern. The MGF of Don Kettleborough, whose fortunes we have been following, came in fourth behind the Metro Turbo of Andrew Talbot. The MGF still needs to find some more power if it is to overcome the dominant Metro's. The 'F' was reportedly "spitting fire" from it's twin exhausts, so, maybe next time ?

The Fastest lap was set by Don Kettleborough 1m 15.85s at 78.78mph
