New Years Day Run
As is usual, many of our members turned out for the New Years Day Run. The start was at Wimpole Hall’s Old rectory Restaurant at 11 am. Those who were brave enough to have their hoods down made the most of the warmth there. The party then moved on to The Green at Barrington for the annual Classic Car Display at 12 noon. The weather was just letting us down as it began to rain. The next stop was at the Black Horse at Dry Drayton for some lunch. The club secretary only just managed to join the party there as he had been under his car trying to sort out electrical problems with the starter motor. As some pointed out, the New years run is not really a run: more of a stagger from one pub to the next, which is appropriate given the time of the year. It was great to be able to wish everyone a Happy New Year in person though.

Chinese Meal
On January 16th just eight of us turned out for the Chinese meal in an Ely restaurant. We all enjoyed the meal and each others company, with John and Ann Riley hosting a few of us for coffee afterwards.
