MGB

The success of the MGA paved the
way for the next MG model -the MGB,
which was launched in 1962. Over the
following 18 years, the car had a total
production run of over 500,000, and
more than 70% of these were shipped
to the US. During its heyday, the MGB
was a regular sight on American
roads and was seen as the ideal car
for America's college generation. The
car became the most popular British
sports car ever built and the most
successful British car ever sold in the
US.
